Guide to the coffin! Public release for business use!

Example of procedure for narration

・ Shinkyo-Only socks are put on and then hung.
・ Christianity-Because there is no travel preparation, I will wear plain clothes.
・ Buddhism-Simply speaking, there are esoteric Buddhism and immediate adult Buddhism. Esoteric Buddhism is based on the idea that the Buddhahood cannot be made if there is a feeling from life, even after crossing the Sanzu River (this world is this bank, the world of the other world is the equinoctial week, the Sanzu River in between ← the equinoctial week)
Is also attached because it invites the deceased from that world.) I will prepare for the trip so that I can safely cross the various roads of roses. On the other hand, the idea of an instant adult Buddha is that if you die by chanting the sutra, you will immediately become an adult Buddha. For this reason, the Shingon sect, Tendai sect, and Jodo sect, which are generally esoteric Buddhism, require travel preparation.
Basically, it will be as above, but please respect the feelings of your family.

Illustration)

After talking to his family at Soto Sect, Soka Gakkai's friend's funeral, and Christianity, he prepared for a trip with the hope that it would be strange if he had no relatives.
There are many things I have done. On the contrary, there are many cases where the Tendai sect, Shingon sect, and Jodo sect did not do so.
Then, we will follow the procedure in the Buddhist style, which is the most common way to perform a coffin (coffin ← Nikkan). Put it in the casket like a letter
Although it is a purpose, there are many times when you just need to prepare for your trip depending on the conditions. The deceased is resting at home, and pillow decorations at the bedside
I will introduce an example of the procedure when you visit the coffin at your home.

1, the coffin.

・ To the deceased

2. Are you all together?

Have you finished the memorial service with incense sticks? We will prepare it before the coffin.

・ Move the candle eraser pillow decoration out of the way.
・ Turn over the futon.
・ Spread the sheets.
・ Remove the dry ice.
・ If there is frost or moisture on your face, borrow a towel and wipe it lightly.
・ Separate only those who witness alcohol absorbent cotton.
・ Separate the travel preparations and arrange them in order.

3, preparation

Now that we have completed, please gather around the deceased.
・ Once you have gathered your family around the deceased, move to the back with cotton wool and travel preparation.

Everyone's gathering

Is not it? It's okay to break your legs, so please relax.
・ When everyone sits down

Beginning the ceremony of the coffin.

There are various types of coffins depending on the region and customs. The most important thing is
I think the most important thing is the feeling that everyone wants to be the deceased, regardless of the convention.
We will do so without burdening the deceased.

First of all, the hot water ritual.

I used to wipe the deceased's body by immersing a washcloth in upside-down water.

For hygiene reasons, we now offer decotton moistened with alcohol. The order can be from anyone.
It doesn't matter where your skin is exposed. The deceased is very delicate, so please feel like hitting it rather than wiping it. When you wipe it, if you can convey your thoughts to the deceased in your heart, I think that the deceased will also become a Buddhahood.
・ Distribute alcohol absorbent cotton. When you start wiping

When you're done

・ Collect cotton wool from everyone.

Next, prepare for the trip.

First, here is the socks. One person has a light sneaker and one person can put it on. After that, turn this string back and tie it in front. At this time, please use a knot instead of a bow. It means not to unravel even on a long trip. Also, depending on the area, there is a tradition that it is upside down, upside down, left and right, but it is a superstition, so right is right and left is left.
・ Give your socks. When both left and right are finished

Next is Kyahan.

The meaning of protecting the sneak. Also here, one person holds the ankle and one person attaches it to the sneaker and turns it back in the same way and ties it in front. 2 places on one side, 4 places on the left and right.
・ When both left and right legs are tied

Next is the back of the hand.

Amulet that protects the back of the hand. There is a hook, but either finger is fine. Hook it and turn it back in the same way to tie it in front.
・ When both left and right hands are finished

Next is the waist and loincloth.

This is just a hang.
・ When you finish sitting

Next is beads.

These beads are white. It means that the deceased will reflect light and illuminate his feet even if it is dark on a long journey. The beads put the fluff on the hand.
・ When you finish hanging beads

Next is the crown (triangular hood).

I used to put it on my forehead, but now I put it on my chest because it retains the remnants of my life. Click here when placing The tip of the crown is a substitute for the antenna when heading to the other world. Point upwards so that the tip is on the centerline of the forehead and chest.
・ After placing the crown

Next is Shroud.

When Shaka-sama was annihilated (died), the haori that had the sutra written on it was the one that had the sutra written on it, but since he was facing west with the north of the haori as his head, he was wearing the haori that had the sutra written on it. This is in your hands.
・ When you finish hanging the shroud

Finally, a head bag.

Inside, when crossing the Sanzu River, six coins are sent to each of the six Jizo statues. This is also to the chest.
・ Please put five grains inside.

Next is the obi.

This is at the waist.
・ After placing the obi

Then go to the casket.

It will be done by men.
Two cushions for the bottom of the casket.
・ Go get the casket and line it up next to the deceased. Lean the lid out of the way. If there are tsue and futon in the casket, it is a futon, so pull a mattress and pillow.
18, Then, put it in the casket. Put the sheets in your hands, and slowly from your feet when you have all the hands.
・ Heal the sheets sticking out of the casket, or use the sheets to cure the posture.
* If you have a cane, it will be a Kongo-zue, so attach it to your dominant arm. If there is waraji, it is customary to apply bean paste in some areas. It means not to slip and get injured even on a pile of needles.

Then, the ceremony of the coffin is over.

Until the hearse arrives. If you have something you would like to include when you say goodbye. Please refrain from using metals, glass, and carbon products. Also, please refrain from using lighters, batteries, etc. as they may explode, which is dangerous. Then, I have a hearse outside.

Arrive at the hearse.

Then the hearse has arrived, so I left my house. Hold your hand and close the lid.
When your hands are aligned, take your time slowly from your feet.

The lid is tightened.

Now, let's leave home. For men.

Place it on the hearse.

When the owner rides, he rides the hearse with the things to decorate at the ceremony such as photographs. If you have a mortuary tablet, a photo, a set, etc. to decorate at the ceremony, head to the ceremony or crematorium with your relatives or your own company.

Then, the coffin.

When you leave your house, please be careful about the door lock and the source of the fire.
